Community Features:
Musician Profile: Each Member will be able to create a ‘mini-website’ when they register at Funkular.com. They will have the option to design their web page with easy to use WYSIWYG editors. They will be able to upload backgrounds, images, videos, music, and more information about themselves.
Music Player: Each Member will have the ability to upload music to their music player. Members will be able to upload ‘X’ amount of songs to this music player for users to listen to. This music player will be displayed on their profile page
Music Sharing (MP3): Users will be able to browse/search Funkular.com and listen, download, and share independent musician’s music. This will be a great way for an unknown artist to promote themselves.
Video Sharing: Members will be able to upload music videos to this section.
Photo Sharing: Band members will be able to upload photos to this section
Funkular Events: Members will have the option to promote their band’s gigs through Funkular.com. They will have the ability to list locations, details, time, send out e-mail invites, and even charge for attendance.
Side Note: A great way to promote Funkular would be hold Funkular Music Festivals all over the country. If you build a large community of Independent artists you will have no problem “booking” artists to play.
Funkular Forums: Each Member & User will have the option to participate in multiple forum topics on Funckular.com. This will be a great way to musicians to interact with fans.
Funkular Blogs: Each Member will have the option to create their own Blog. Showing fans their personal side will be another great way to brand themselves.
Find Funks: WebBizIdeas.com feels it is important to have a separate section dedicated to finding other independent musicians. Just like a business, finding the right partners to grow a band can be very beneficial to a musician’s success. Here independent musicians can post ‘wanted’ ads if they are looking for band members.
